To use the ChatGPT feature, ensure your phone is one of the compatible models: the Phone (2) is currently supported, and support for the Nothing Phone (2a) and Nothing Phone (1) will be available soon. Please ensure your phone’s software is up-to-date and follow these steps:

  1. Install the latest version of the Nothing X app from the Google Play Store.
  2. Download, install, and sign into the ChatGPT app from the Google Play Store. Try using the ChatGPT Voice feature at least once.
  3. Activate the ChatGPT feature in the Nothing X app by going to Controls > Voice Assistant > ChatGPT.

If you’ve completed these steps and still encounter issues, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer support team. They are happy to help.

        Hey there, I have updated my device, nothing X app, downloaded chatgpt app and used the voice feature multiple times.. but the option to add chatgpt as the voice assistant won’t show up in Nothing X app.. it just opens google assistant by default.. what might be the issue? can someone help?

            I have the same problem. Nothing Phone 2a and Ear (a) and despite chat gpt being selected Google assistant comes on

              OskarKaszubski I had the same issue. I’ve uninstalled the ChatGPT app and installed it again, and now it works. Although it wasn’t the end😃 After that, it showed the ChatGPT interface but got stuck on “Connecting.” So, you need to get into the app and use voice conversation at least once. Then it works with headphones 🙂

                  Distreal I tried multiple things

                  1. Uninstall both (Nothing X and Chat GPT) then install Nothing X and then Chat GPT, run a voice prompt on Chat GPT
                  2. Uninstall both (Nothing X and Chat GPT) then install Chat GPT and then Nothing X, run a voice prompt on Chat GPT
                  3. Disabling Google Assistant as a default assistant and leaving it to none since Chat GPT cannot be set as an assistant in Google

                  Whatever I do, Google Assistant pops up it’s ugly head.

                  Any other ideas?

                    Hi guys, i have nothing phone (1) and currently i am planning to buy a nothing ear (stick) . Does it(stick version) compatible with chatgpt?

                    Oh come on.

                    Why does this not work with ear(2)?

                    Don’t roll a feature out without ensuring the firmware is updated for the earbuds that were available when Nothing(2) was launched, that’s just insanity.

                    Having to wait, or having to buy new earbuds with a confusingly similar name is preposterous.

                    We had ear (1) and ear(2), why not call the new ones ear(3)?, or is there going to be an ear(3) to coincide with the nothing(3)?

                    This is a bizarre oversight, and one i would expect from Samsung or Apple to build in obsolescence, and force a premature purchase of new tech.

                    It’s not like we can get nothing devices on contracts.

                    I have seen that the update for Ear (2) is now out but I don’t see the option. I am logged in ChatGPT and also used the voice feature. What am I doing wrong? Is this not enabled for Phone (1)?

                    Yeah I still got that problem. (I am using the Ear2 + Nothing phone 2). This is just really bad integrated as it seems. Google asisstant works for me, but chatgpt just doesn’t do anything. (Yes I got the app logged in. Yes I made a voicecall on there already.)

                    Hi all,

                    I’m on phone (2) and ear (a). When I go to the Nothing X app > Controls and select Voice Assistant, I don’t get any options to select ChatGPT. I’ve ensured both apps are updated, tried uninstalling and reinstalling both apps, and restarting my phone. Despite this, it keeps opening Google Assistant, even though I’ve turned it off.

                    Any suggestions?

                    Update: started working today, not sure what happened. But all good now 🙂

                    Cmf phone + Cmf buds, with touch and hold option GPT overlay blinks for a bit and dissappear.

                    Found that chatgpt is on active apps and if close it, run voice widget, then it’s working… but after lock screen or music on this error can appear again.

                    Can I ask about the the cost to use chat gpt for the premium features. Is that something I have to pay each month or is there a code or a way around it. I’m using 2a with buds pro 2

                      84RRY Hey mate, you don’t need a ChatGPT premium account to utilise this feature. I’m using Buds Pro 2 & Nothing Phone (1) and I’m prompting ChatGPT with my free account. Works quite well, I’ve been impressed.
