Yesterday I bought the amazing NP 2a, and according to specs (https://es.nothing.tech/pages/phone-2a#specs), “2G GSM 850/900/1800/1900” is available in “Connectivity” section.
The same SIM card in my previous phone (I bought it four years ago) let me choose 2G, but not in Nothing phone 2a. Same situation in my wife’s phone (she bought it last year). If I use a third party app, I can force GSM, but phone call ends as soon as the callee answers the phone, and I cannot hear rigntone nor anything.
Yesterday I updated Nothing OS to 2.5.5, and I still have the same problem.
Are you planning on fixing this issue, or is it a feature actually, and there is not 2G GSM support? Please let me know, since I live in a small town, and 2G is the most realiable band here. 3G is no longer supported, and 4G and 5G bands barely work.
