After Carl’s recent tweet seeking feedback and suggestions for the Quick Settings on Nothing OS, I created a quick concept and tweeted it as a reply. While it was just a quick concept, I thought why not improve it further and do a full revamp.

Here is my take on how I would like the Control Center/Notification Panel to look like.

Since I’m not particularly fond of separate control panels; I took the current Control Center/Notification Panel on Nothing OS as base and tried improving it without major UI specific changes, that Nothing users have been asking.

  1. Replaced Nothing Dot font of time to the default Android system font.
  2. Split Network and WiFi toggles. (Can be accessed without expanding the Quick Setting Panel)
  3. Added Brightness slider with an Auto Brightness toggle. (Can be accessed without expanding the Quick Setting Panel)
  4. Cleaned up Notifications panel area.

I would love the addition of an “Auto Brightness toggle”! However, I feel that Nothing OS should lean more into it’s NDot font, and that should stay with the Quick Settings Clock and expand elsewhere.

That being said, people have different tastes, so this should also be a toggle in the phones font options.

    Ealesy101 Agreed. A brand can have more than two fonts, where one can be used solely as a part of brand identity, while the other can be more of a legible option. Besides that, an option to switch between both the font, can easily solves this problem.

      This looks interesting. Actually, I like Nothing Phone and one thing that is always frustrating is the very small customization options for the notification panel. I hope you get noticed by the Nothing team and give it some thought.

Also, we already know that Nothing team has already redesigned the Notification panel, as per the mockups shared by Carl on Twitter, and I loved it so much. It’s refreshing and much better than what we currently have. I am hoping they will ship it with the Nothing OS 3.0. Fingers Crossed
