Messages Delivered Multiple Times

Does any one experienced single message delivered multiple times. I mean if a OTP or any message (to be expected) recieved on nothing phone 2a, same message...

YashSangle Yes the same issue facing on my Nothing phone 2a . Same SMS coming multiple times. I don’t know what to do

Facing the same issue with nothing 2a plus on Vi network. Any update on this issue. This never happened with my previous samsung phone with the same sim card.

I too face this problem. Its annoying receiving multiple copies of the same SMS. Sometimes it keeps delivering even after 24 hours of first message. I am also a Vi subscriber. Not sure if it is only with Vi. switching of RCS Chat did not help. Using another messaging app did not help. Vi support says there is no problem with their service.

Facing this same issue and am a Vi network user as well. This never happened with my previous Android device and I’m not sure if Vi users are complaining of this issue on other Android phones. Team nothing might need to look into this, seems like a bug with the device and not the network service provider.

I’m marking my attendance here. I have been having this issue since I switched my phone to the Nothing Phone 2a with VI network. Hope the nothing team identifies and resolves this issue in the upcoming OTA.

I am getting anxious due to so many messages being recieved to my phone 😨😨

hi I had recently bought my Nothing 2a plus through an e-commerce platform. everything works well except i am repeatedly getting multiple messages for the same OTP or be it any text message from an IVR or conversationfrom a person. i am unsure whether the issue is from the mobile operator side or the phone. FYI my mobile operator is Vodafone Idea (Vi) and i am from Chennai, India. just curious if any of you folks are facing the same issue. any suggestions or tweaks or workarounds would be much appreciated. TIA

I am also facing the same issue, taken up with Vi but they have done multiple actions, but the issues still persists. Suspect some bugs in Nothing SW. I am using Nothing phone 2a with Vi SIM.

Any fixes ??

Yes brother, facing the same issue with Vi India network on Nothing phone 2a. (Newly bought). I think the problem is SMSC number. I just shifted from realme and when i checked the number the format was something like this - “+91xxxxxxxxxx”,143. But in nothing phone 2a we are not allowed to add this extension of 143. Hence this could also be the reason of multiple repetition of SMS.

Hi guys,
This issue of mine could be totally my network issue or an andorid issue but if the community could help with a solution.

When i get any sms;/ text messages from a service provided, i get the message atleast 10 times in my sms inbox. For example “My account has been debited …with whatever amount at whatever place” This will show up like 10 times and stay in my inbox. It just makes me find important messages difficult.

Thanks for reply, I have disabled the 4G calling and issue seems to be fixed now. In the meantime have raised a ticket with Nothing sharing them the details

Disabling 4G calling affects calling on VI India network. Today when I received calls they got this disconnected after few seconds. So this solution is not feasible.

I have facing issues for repeated sms many time i used google massage and sms organiszer

Same i will facing isses

And also battery drain also
