Hello people!
I may go a little out of the box here, hehehe. So, my wife and I went for a roadtrip from CDMX to the Yucatan peninsula this winter, and we had the opportunity to enjoy many sunrises and sunsets on some dreamy, natural landscapes.
Let me share with you some cropped, non-edited pictures with you here 🙂
One of the first stops was in Minatitlán, one small town dedicated to the oil industry, with some huge river on its side.

On our way to Mérida, we passed a small village next to a huge lake, Atasta. It was an expected surprise, because we were driving trough the jungle but the GPS was showing how we would pass next to a big body of water. Little did we knew that it would still feel breathtaking, needing to stop and enjoy the views.

We surrounded the peninsula, enjoying Mérida and the nearby coast, and visiting the less touristified Mahahual. Next on the list was travelling to my wife hometown, close to the Guatemala border. For that, we made a small stop at Bacalar, that I greatly advise visiting, but we spent the night in Chetumal, next to Belize.
We needed to leave early because the trip that day was going to be exhausting, so we decided to plan our schedule enjoying the sunrise there.

That same day, we arrived at her hometown, Tenosique. I suggest checking their traditions, they have some crazy celebrations there that are very curious. We went for a walk, and we could enjoy this sunset from the river.

Hope you enjoyed this tale and photos. Let’s see if any of them makes it to the top 3!
I am also super happy that I had my new phone, because I could make some amazing photos and videos which I am planning to use for some music making 🙂 (If you’d like to check them in the future, they will be posted here).
Hugs!
