CMF Neckband Pro: One Month Later (Needs Improvement!)

I’ve been using the CMF Neckband Pro for over a month now, and while there have been firmware updates (1.0.1.027 to 1.0.1.032), I’ve also had to replace the device twice due to distortion issues. Here’s what I think needs improvement:

Sound Quality:

Bass: The advertised “Ultra Bass” feature seems nonexistent. The equalizer offers minimal improvement.

Spatial Audio:This needs a complete revamp, especially for bass. Version 1.0.1.031 sounded better, but the latest update broke it.

Soundstage: A wider soundstage would be greatly appreciated. If possible, consider enabling DIRAC mode for the Neckband Pro.

Volume: Above 80% volume, the mids completely disappear. This needs to be addressed alongside the distortion issues.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC):

Complexity: The current ANC settings (Low,Mid,High, Adaptive, Transparent) are unnecessary. Simplify it to ON-OFF-TRANSPARENT. The “Adaptive” mode seems pointless.

Overall Value:

While the price point is attractive (around ₹1800), the sound quality currently falls short of expectations. It doesn’t even compete with budget options around ₹1,000.

I’ve already reported these issues to CMF. If you’ve experienced similar problems, please add them here and report them directly to the CMF team. Let’s hope for improvements that justify the cost of the Neckband Pro.

thalapathy I’ve already reported the imbalanced spatial audio (favoring the right ear) through the app. Focusing on these core issues (spatial audio and stable updates) would be greatly appreciated. Please prioritize fixes without introducing new problems that affect currently functioning features.

well i think according to the budget its better then its competition like oneplus or realme neckband even though you are right on few points like anc adaptive mode is useless, spatial audio is just gimmick, sound quality is decent, but you can’t expect anything more in ₹1800. i think you should order an IEM if you are an audiophile.
I would suggest you to recheck the ultra bass option it definitely works for me.

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz Nah you’ve clearly not used oppo m32, its cheaper and sounds 10 times better. This sounds like a aftermarket nobrand earphone.

after 7 days of use:

I had reported left speaker noise especially voice(calls and talk videos on youtube and other platform). I visited the service center they said they can’t detect it. So It is frustrating. I called cmf they asked if this persist on ANC. I tested on ANC there is no noise. Without ANC it is annoying to watch movies at night because you can listen the noise significantly at night.. I don’t what to do..
