I’ve been using the nothing phone (2) for a while now. It has gone through many software updates and bug fixes. As Nothing is a company that majorly focuses on user experience, i have some nit picked (could be major bugs)
- There is always an alarm symbol in my lockscreen even if i haven’t enabled any alarm. I have been noticing this since the beginning and it isn’t fixed even after multiple softwares updates.
- When turning the screen on, it flashes a bright light before showing the lock screen. This happens when i use the tap to wake feature. It is very noticing in the dark.
- Similar behaviour when the fingerprint symbol disappears from the aod, the screen goes blank for a split second.
- The tap to wake feature is very sensitive. I’d suggest either use double tap or fix the sensitivity. Lift to wake is mostly a miss.
- Mistouch prevention is not accurate enough
- There are some features like hotspot device blocking and customisation options which are a major miss. I know nothing is opting for clean Android ui, but these features are essential and are provided by every other major brand.
AI features and Chatgpt integration can wait. The current NothingOS needs a lot of polishing in its current state, and it happens to be the usp of a nothing phone
