CMF Phone 1 - India SIM Only

Ich habe gerade das CMF-Telefon 1 mit der Absicht erhalten, es auf einer Reise nach Thailand zu verwenden/zu testen, nur um auf der Verpackung zu lesen: „Nur Indien-Sim“ (zu Ihrer Information, ich bin in Indien). 2 Fragen: 1. Ist für den gesamten Betrieb oder nur (wie ich anderswo gelesen habe) nur für die Einrichtung eine indische SIM-Karte erforderlich? Kann ich also eine beliebige lokale indische Sim einstecken und einschalten und später eine andere (z. B. thailändische) Sim einbauen, und es wird immer noch funktionieren? 2. Was braucht es von der indischen Sim? Das heißt, muss es *meine* indische Sim sein (die ich nicht habe, weil ich Esim verwende) oder kann ich einfach für eine Minute die eines Freundes verwenden? Ich bin für jede Hilfe dankbar, bevor ich die Schachtel öffne 🙏

UPDATE: Inserted a friend’s SIM when it asked at startup and it let me in 🙂 I guess it just checks in with the local network and then you’re off to the races. Worked ok on my uk lebara SIM after that. And now with no SIM at all it’s working on wifi. Thanks again!

I bought CMF phone from Indian online and then brought it to Oman but I can’t use it, it shows that I have to insert Indian SIM and use it

in oman i try india sim also

You will need to either take it back to India and set it up with an India SIM (local non-roaming) or reach out to the support team.

mobinbiju-7 - You can login to the Nothing Support(https://nothing.tech/pages/contact-support) and raise a issue providing all the details, they will ask you for IMEI number to unlock the network. Once you provide they will reply back after unlocking. I have done this while in UK. (Sep 2024) SCINDIA

Derren Hello Darren. I have the same problem. I’m a foreign student in India. I’ve bought it for my sibling as a gift and wanted her to do the unboxing herself. After unboxing and turning it on we faced the exact problem. I’ve submitted the ticket as instructed. Wanted to share my experience. Will update this post later for the result.

I am going abroad,i have set up my phone with indian sim.can i use the other region sim in abroad?

AmaanPasha Yes you can. Just be careful not to factory reset though.
I’m still stuck and waiting for the support response. I’ve bought roaming package (which was quite expensive) for my Indian sim card but to no avail. I wish it was more transparent.

ManeshSandeepa_JL4m0bvh6T As far as I know it’ll need to be connected to a valid Indian network, not roaming. But I don’t have personal experience with it

Hi I purchased a CMF phone 1 in India and when I returned to Singapore I factory reset the Device and I’m unable to use as it says it can only use Indian sim how can I fix this problem help pls
