It’s been two months since I switched to the Nothing Phone after being a Miui fan for four years, and to be honest, I’m still obsessing over the Nothing OS. I’m amazed by how clean the UI is and how quickly and simply I can toggle settings on and off. I love how the menu is so compact that I can easily find what I’m looking for.
I’m not saying my experience with Xiaomi was bad; Xiaomi was equally amazing, but I find the Nothing Phone to be more user-friendly in my humble opinion.
The camera of the Nothing Phone may not have as many features as Xiaomi’s, but the image quality it produces is decent enough, if not the best among other devices in its price range. The professional mode is more than sufficient for me as a mobile photography hobbyist. Although not everyone appreciates its integration with Google Photos, I am one of those who do. With Magic Editor and other features that many would only enjoy with Pixel phones, I cannot ask for more.
I also love the aftersales service of Nothing. Feedback doesn’t go unanswered for long, and the developers respond promptly. They are generous with their updates and consistently work on improvements.
The Nothing community is commendable as well. Users can freely share, engage, and exchange ideas and experiences in a healthy environment. Like Xiaomi, its potential to become the most interactive online community is limitless.
My only wish for Nothing now is to extend the coverage of their software support. Based on my experience with my phone, I don’t see myself replacing it after two or three years, so I’d appreciate longer software support.
I also hope Nothing remains consistent with this kind of UI. Unlike OnePlus, its mothership, I wish the Nothing OS won’t be over-commercialized in the coming years with ads and VIP payments.
