The battery drain issue in nothing phone 2 gone to a another level.
I run all major normal tasks (playing games not included) for 30 min and made a reading that how much would battery drain in this time line
1. Using hotspot for 30 minutes drain 15% battery
2. Browsing Google or chrome for 30 minutes drains 10% battery
3. Seeing videos on YouTube for 30 minutes drain 5% to 9% battery(depending on the quality of the streaming video)
4. videos or movies on other streaming platform for 30 minutes drains 15% battery
After this I run a idol drain test for 24hour i.e in 24 hour how much is the idol drain
1. from 11 pm to 10 am :- for every hour 0.7% battery drain that is according to my timeline where I don’t use my phone from 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. 10×0.8=8.% i.e 8% battery drain. The readings which I recorded is done by the help of a application called ‘device info’(windows)
2.from 10 am to 11 pm :- for every hour there is a 1.7% battery drain i.e 13×1.6=20.8% i.e 20.8% battery drain during the daytime
Total:- 29% battery drain i.e if you charge your phone 100% and use it for 24 hour the 30% of the battery get drain without use
At last I run a gaming test for 1 hour to check how much will be the battery drain, in which I choose 3 popular heavy games:-free fire max,bgmi & call of duty
:- I played both bgmi and call of duty for 1 hour and there was a battery drain of 18 to 19% and in free fire Max it was 16%
Some games are heavier then this games like :- 1.GTA edition for Android (GTA SA) 2. Alien isolation
:- I played this game for 1 hour and there is a shocking result for everyone hour there is a 35% to 40% battery drain i.e 100% to 0% only in two hours
Conclusion:- this result are not good, a person who want to use his phone long lasting , charges his phone once a day in which there is a 30% of battery drain for normal tasking there is a battery backup of 3 hours and if we plays games then there is a backup of 2 hours. This is not good, there should be a battery backup of 6.5 to 7 hour it was all good before but after some recent updates this issue has came .
Some people might think this is not a big issue but I will tell you guy situation of one day, at night I charged my phone to 90% because tomorrow early morning I was going out with my family, but when I saw at the morning the battery was drained up to 82%, I didn’t used my phone till afternoon , at 3 p.m I took my phone out to take some pictures of the place where my family and I want and I saw that the battery was drained up to 74% after that I didn’t use my phone , I went back to my house at 8:30 p.m, I wanted to use my phone so I took it out the battery was 66% ,I played games for 1 hour the battery got drained up to 43% , after that I saw some videos in YouTube eating food for 40 minutes the battery got drain up to 37% and that’s it I gone to bed ,when I get up in the morning I saw that the battery was drained up to 31% after that I gone to college i.e I didn’t use my phone till 3 pm, after coming home I saw that the battery was 20%.
without using the phone the battery is getting drain I don’t have any issue regarding the uses drain, I am tired of idle drain it is terrifying almost 40% to 50% of the battery get drained without use so I request nothing to do something regarding this.
there own phone called CMS phone 1 only drain 1% battery i.e 4 to 5% drain in 24 hour and same in there non cmf phone other than nothing phone 2, the battery drain issue in phone 1,2a, there is better drain but not as much as of phone 2
