Nice work, Uday! I can see you’ve put a lot of thought into this concept.
this is what i felt about the concept 👇

Reachability: I’m a big fan of the search bar being moved to the bottom—it’s a no-brainer.
Recommended Apps: I have mixed feelings about this. Whenever I open the app drawer, I want to quickly pick without scanning the screen. Eight apps, with an additional one behind a click, feels time-consuming and more cognitive load.
Customization: I prefer being able to:
- Move app groups in my preferred order
- Edit apps within each category.
- Create new category groups.
  
  This would be better than the solution you suggested, which feels visually overwhelming and takes more time to figure out where to click.
Voice Search: For apps, this is a terrible idea in my opinion—it adds too much time and attention for such a simple task.

I’m sharing these thoughts to provide more feedback 🙂. Keep up the great work, man!

Yeah, the eight recommended apps although has high probability of displaying what the user might need, is still in variable order, so it does demand high cognitive load.

The edit suggestions you made are already in the back of my mind as a seperate “edit mode” for the Smart Drawer.

Voice Search: I thought it would be great once a good voice engine is developed, but it’s not yet here so yeah.

After your review, I realised this is a really sensitive deal, arranging the apps. Anyways, noted these as an input for the next iteration!
