Hmm, okay - based on the battery mentions in this thread, was the antenna also designed to help reduce battery drain?

I’m curious what kind of implications adding an antenna brings. Does it affect more than just Dirac Opteo from a functionality standpoint? That’s something I think a lot of us as consumers would be interested to understand!

Thanks for letting me pick your brain - I’m just genuinely curious about this kind of stuff, and having Dirac Opteo available over LDAC is such a great combo. 😀

Antenna was already there but improved apparently

Battery capacity is the same so it really depends on the specific improvement

RapidZapper explains the price hike when the 2A, 2, 2+ where released. They are still sold to this day and are more valuable then the 2 Plus

So far, the battery on this new identified model is acting the same as my original model, with the right bud always being within 5% more drained than the left.

Womey FYI my model is B172, build date 2024:11:09 that I ordered November during black friday and was shipped late decemeber. I only got firmware 8.1 but LDAC still lags on high definition media.

MZee7 on the box or inside the buds case, on the underside of the top lid, it will indicate which specific Buds Pro 2 model you have! I admittedly threw out the box so I am looking side the buds case.

I have B187 with firmware 1.0.1.32, the issue is that enabling dirac doesn’t reflect on audio at all, there is no difference between dirac and default custom preset. Anyone having same issue?

AlekseiBar I have the same issue on the new B187 models. Also the mids and and highs sound different than on the older B172 models. I liked the old ones better for classical music.

Hey! I’d recommend uninstalling Nothing X and reinstalling the app. Are you running a Beta version?

Edit: Reinstalled, still dirac preset doesn’t do anything.

Try clicking through the presets, quickly. Are you hearing the “bloop” noise when selecting the different EQ settings?

Womey I hear “bloop” sound only when switching dirac and every other non custom preset, but no “bloop” when switching between dirac and custom.

Does anyone have this issue when enabling LDAC and force playback to be 990/909 kbps the buds start to stutter continuesly..

Does any updates fixed this issue yet?

I have the same issue as well. I have the buds set to adaptive and not a specific kbps rate. No stutter when set to adaptive.
