I really love the idea of the nothing gallery app, Google Photos constantly tries to sell me a subscription and will not do facial recognition etc without cloud storage.
However I have 2 issues, on both my previous CMF 1 and Current 3a the app starts doing the face matching and then seems to stop. I have 20 years worth of photos with rich meta data in folders named with the year, yet on the day I got it it scanned as far back as July 2022 but has not added any prior to this date. Is there a way to get it restart the scan of force it to scan more?
Additionally it does not organise videos correctly by date if they were not taken on the device and they are just listed by date they were loaded on. Other photo apps they go in the correct year etc as they have the meta.
Appreciate any tips on how to get my experience a bit better!
