I have been having this issue for a few weeks, possibly months now. UK based, my carrier is EE.
When I first got the phone I did not have this issue at all.
I have turned off all battery saving/background activity ceasing toggles I can find for the affected notifications/apps.
The main thing I notice is that when my lock screen goes to the always on dark mode, and I don’t have the phone unlocked, notifications just will not come to the phone.
The only 3 ways I can make the notifications appear:
- Unlocking the phone
- Moving the phone physically to another location
- Opening the relevant app, which all of a sudden, will show the notifications when I make it active again
Does anyone have any ideas at all on how I can fix this? I love this phone but this is to the point where it is interferring with my ability to check essential notification messages and my front doorbell, where I have missed it several times because my phone will not give me the relevant notifications for my Ring doorbell.
