Thank you to the design team for the effort and creativity put into the latest update! It’s clear that a lot of thought went into refreshing the UI. However, the earlier UI felt more intuitive and visually pleasing to me. I find the current UI design challenging due to its reliance on circle icon buttons, especially on the top drawer and I miss the old alarm button. The abundance of circle icons might make it hard to identify their purpose quickly. I love this phone and I hope you’ll consider bringing back some of the elements that made it so different compared to others, or perhaps offering more customization options for fonts in the future. Keep up the great work!
Nothing OS 3.0 | General Release
- (Edited)
DavidHardy They have disabled the 6ghz, for me who waited a month before upgrading, it is a downgrade along with unsettling UI inconsistencies where fonts & some icons are in steroids with depreciated visual hierarchies, 6 ghz was enabled in 2.6, here in the Philippines 6 ghz was adopted late last year, I don’t know why they have release international firmware that disables it, although they have not publicly acknowledge it on paper but app such as Device Info or other system profiling apps affirms that NP2 is 6E capable. now with NOS 3.0 it was disabled. maybe an intentional marketing obsolescence to pave way for the upcoming “3” models where they will launch publicly the wifi 7 & 6ghz capable, etc.
Hi everyone,
I’ve recently updated to Nothing OS 3.0, and while I appreciate the new features and improvements, I have a concern about the Quick Settings tiles.
In the previous version (Nothing OS 2.x), when using Dark Mode, the tiles were white on black, which was much easier on the eyes, especially in low-light conditions. After the update, the tiles are now black on white, even in Dark Mode, which feels too bright and uncomfortable, especially at night.
I wanted to ask:
1. Is there any way to customize or revert the Quick Settings tiles to the old white-on-black style?
2. If not, could the Nothing team consider adding an option to choose between these styles in a future update?
I love the Nothing ecosystem, and this small change would really enhance the experience for Dark Mode users like me.
Looking forward to your thoughts or suggestions. Thanks in advance!
How do I rollback to 2.6 version? Charging time issue is critical and I can’t use my phone without cable. And it’s showing it’ll take 2 days for full charge…
Anyone with the Phone 1 still not received the update yet? I’m still waiting
NathanMorris I have had two phone 1s both update in UK. Have you got the developer option ON that prevents automatic updates?
JasonSean no it’s not on, strange
Still a have security threat not yet solved.
I am writing to report a persistent security concern with your device. Even when my phone is locked, it is possible for a third party to turn it off without requiring any password or PIN. This poses a significant security risk
I kindly request that you address and resolve this issue in the next update. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
NathanMorris have you tapped on the ‘phone’ OS settings tab to force a look?
JasonSean yeah, looks like I’m just stuck with OS 2.6
