In NOS 3.0, there is an unresolved issue. Whenever I open the Clash of Clans (COC) game, the game bar icon appears only partially and does not settle at the edge of the phone; instead, it settles in the middle of the screen. To solve this issue, we need to tilt the phone to the other side, and then it gets fixed. Thank you.

Wow, looking on this community site, it would appear that they are poorly attempting at rolling out os3.0 before it has been stabilised and tested to ensure it’s bug free! I agree with another member here whom commented earlier (from the Netherlands), perhaps they have cancelled the rollout, due to lack of experience and proper planning. This current fiasco will mark an abrupt end of the media’s recent love affair with Nothing as a successful newcomer! The 3a launch this year will be their most important, let’s hope they do not cut any corners, from an expected wireless and speedy charging with a 7200mah battery set up and at least IP65 rating, anything else added/improved is simply “icing on the cake” I am not holding my breath with regard to an improved camera performance, Google Pixel’s have that market wrapped up with their perfect balance of software and hardware. For me personally, I love the fact my 2a phone performs reliably and adequately as my daily driver, and they do not over heat either (Google Pixels!) Light to carry, a little glitchy with closing apps and my finger and facial scanning has always been hit an miss!, but I can live with those little issues. I will simply be patient and wait until they eventually get it right!

Thank you, actually our family have 2 x Nothing 2a’ s and 2 x iPhone 13 pro’s I’m very pleased with our 2a’s as I said, facial and fingerprint is weak and not reliable and a few apps will not swipe closed, but these little gripes compared to my previous Pixel overheating and short battery life along with my daughter’s iPhones short battery usage and cost! I’ve little to complain about and happy with my 2a. If I had a wish list, a better camera, specially the video stabilisation and improved 4k fps, IP rating and wireless high speed charging. The processor is fine, why do I need that improved, it manages all my tasks more than adequately, battery life is good, just a little slow recharging, but I’m not complaining, they’ve done a really good job, I just hope the new 3a impresses me equally, but I fear they won’t deliver, it will somehow fall short of my expectations, a bit like this attempted OS3.0 rollout!

Hey folks,
I recently updated my Nothing Phone to Nothing OS 3.0, and while most things are fine, I noticed two annoying issues:

Bluetooth connectivity is slow – It takes longer than before to connect to devices.
Wi-Fi speed feels slower – Even with a strong signal, the internet doesn’t seem as fast as it used to be.

Anyone else facing these issues after the update?

I noticed some problems in my Nothing Phone 2a’s Nothing OS 3.0

Problems- 1) The display flickers at low brightness especially when black and dark things on the screen are scrolled.

2)When we touch on the screen it lits up little and if we didn’t touch it then it seems that it decreases the brightness as shown in the video link below 👇

3)The another issue is Display Retention. The display shows a ghostimage of the things on the screen like nothificatio bar and navigation bar as shown down 👇

4)The last problem is also with the display. The dark and low light content we see looks pixelated even if the video is in FHD+ resolution. It’s shown below 👇

5)when I want to turn on music visualization the option to turn it on in control centre don’t allow it to enable and as I again scroll and open the control centre the option can be enabled.

These are the problems I have faced in my Nothing Phone 2a.

I request software team to fix these issues as many users have reported same problems.

I have just received a notification for my OS V3.0 upgrade, which like everyone else I have been eagerly waiting for, but upon reading all the recent issues users are experiencing on here, I am now going to wait longer for Nothing to address these issues before I upload. As my phone is currently stable and performing as it should, more importantly, I am happy with my 2a. Both my wife and I purchased 2A’s and use them as our daily drivers and as such have no desire place them at risk. Let’s hope Nothing address these issues, as opposed to advertising a stable roll out to the other models in the Nothing line up (1, 2, 2a plus and community marketed face lifts)

huttonstephen5 there are no major issues. remember only negative experience amplifies as users put them deliberately while which getting good experience are chilling and enjoying their device and os.

After updating Nothing Phone 2a to 3.0, everything slowed down.

The best comparison is between Nothing Phone 1 and Nothing Phone 2a, Nothing Phone 1 is definitely faster.

For example

Apps are now running slower.
App updates take a long time to load and display.
It is harder to use than OS 2.0.

For the Nothing Phone 3 series, we consider it essential to avoid the a series.

goolegle I don’t think you can compare the 2a with either the 1 or 2 iterations, as these phones have higher performing more flagship type Snapdragon processors installed, whilst the 2a has a more moderate media tek dimensity 7200 pro. So I would expect the 1 and 2 phone and apps to perform faster and smoother. However, if Nothing commits to the rumours of the new Nothing 3a specs, with utilizing a Snapdragon 7s (older flagship processor) it should be quite an improvement, as well as a 5500mah wireless 50w charging battery and IP65 protection. As we all know the launch of the 3a will be Nothing’s most important task in 2025, and not the 3, as it was the Nothing 2a and it’s performance/functionality vs competitive pricing that placed Nothing on the global stage as a more serious mobile provider. (as well as increased its TO/profit) This is also the reason they launched more 2a iterations….(2a Plus and 2a Community Models!)
