After updating to Nothing OS 3.0, I’ve noticed significant heat generation during charging with the CMF Power 65W GaN Wall Charger. ‘Charging on Hold’ notifications frequently halt the charging process. I suspect this may be a compatibility issue or a bug introduced in the latest OS update.

"I have run the following troubleshooting steps:

I tried charging my Nothing Phone with other chargers, and it worked fine without overheating.
I tried charging different Android phones with the CMF Power 65W GaN Wall Charger for at least one hour, and I found no issues or overheating."

CMF1_hacker Nothing 45W pushes up to 42W after 3.0 update. It was 25-29W before.

MihneaPerianu but in my phone 2a it is on 24-25 watt. It’s charging speed is decreased.

I have a laptop charger which supports PD charging of 45W, but I think nothing only fast charges 45W with PPS technology, I’ve recently brought a Samsung adapter of 25W which charges my phone faster than my laptop charger which is 65W.

Same issue for cmf, charging time droppedsfrom 3-4 hours to ridiculous 13!

AdityaMandloi What charger are you using ? If it charges in about an hour, there’s no need to fret..
I have recently purchased samsung 25W charger, it charges quicker than my 65W laptop charger. As long as charger supports PPS, ithe phone charges quicker.

Stoffe Samsung 25W fast charger is 100% compatible with your phone. You could go ahead and buy the Samsung 45W fast charger as well but the gains in charging time won’t be significant as opposed to the difference in cost.

KBJ I’m using same 25 W charger, but at starting sometimes is starts charging and then stop it for few seconds and then again starts charging… maybe some PD or PPS protocol are handshaking, but it happened to me sometimes…

I am also experiencing charging issues. The device charges for a while then stops and starts charging again. Before the 3.0 update, I didn’t have this problem, but now it’s charging very slowly, even though I’m using a 33W charger.😢

where is the fix a phone draining or not charging properly is honestly makes the phone just a overpriced paper weight.. I honestly never had this issue with any other phone company lol.

After updating it to nothing OS 3.0, fingerprint issue is occuring. It is adding my fingerprints flawlessly. However while trying to unlock with my fingerprints, it is not working!!!! Tried to restart multiple times. No success yet!!!

This is certainly not the best OS experience😞!!!!
