Great thread and thanks for starting this, definitely in the festive spirit!
My plans this year have already begun and it’s exciting in our household, as my eldest son is almost 3 years old, so he’s a bit more aware and understanding of the season. We’ve already had an early visit from Santa yesterday (aka father-in-law dressed up) who delivered my son and nephew some early gifts, they were mesmerised and couldn’t stop talking about it afterward which was lovely - such a magical moment for them ☺️🎅🏻.
Traditionally, we have a Christmas Eve box filled with little gifts and chocs for the boys, which they will open today and play with today, before we all wake up and sit down together on Christmas Day to open the main gifts - I’m hoping Santa brings me an Ember Mug this year, to satisfy my all day coffee drinking needs.
On Christmas Day, we would usually gather as one big family and have a feast but some of us are away this year. My household will be a small gathering of my in-laws and grandparents. I am making beef wellington and a side of salmon, whilst the Mrs takes care of all the sides and trimmings - anyone else excited for pigs in blankets already?
Of course, there will be beverages flowing throughout the day, Christmas songs playing around the house before we all slump down to watch Christmas TV and play games.
Then comes the best bit…SECOND HELPINGS OF CHRISTMAS FOOD!!!! 🤩
