Thank you for taking a look at this comment, I greatly appreciate it. I hope you are all doing well and are proud of yourself and the work you’ve done on the new phones. I’m Noah btw and I’m writing this email on nothing, CMF by nothing 🙂. I have the CMF phone (1) and I’m pretty happy with it so far, I’ve had this phone since a while now, so here’s my personal opinion on the phone:
The first thing I want to focus on is (are) the camera(s). The main 50 mp camera is pretty damn good in my opinion, I really like the resolution, it’s pretty smooth with it’s 60 fps at 1080p, and all in all it’s a good camera. However in my school we do a lot of high quality filming and this camera barely cuts it, especially since there is no optical zoom or an ultra wide sensor. But then there’s the secondary camera. I think it’s a great design addition in itself, and for a cheap company it would be reason enough to add it, but I believe you have more going on in thought process of adding a second inaccessible camera. According to reddit, it’s a 8 mp depth camera, which I’m sure helps with processing and stuff like that, anyways, it’s pretty neat 👍🏼. While we’re already on the photo and video topic, the camera app is great, I love it, the best one I’ve seen so far, I would be happy if you’d add a little window in the corner that shows you where you’re zooming, like Samsung. Besides that, I’m excited for the new additions you’ve announced in the interview and overall the processing is pretty good most of times too (except with my cat 😭). Regarding the gallery app, it’s really good regarding design functionality, however is lacking of other basic features like a simple editing suite, and a usable search function, but besides that it’s pretty good I guess, and I love the long press selection tool.
Moving on from the cameras and gallery app, nothing os 3.0 is fire, and it’s fast. The one major thing that I’m annoyed about (and this might sound stupid) is the settings app look, why did you change the default android style, it looks so much better in my opinion, I don’t see the need in smaller and more contrasting buttons.
Besides all of that, I like my CMF Phone 1, it’s good but I could use an upgrade.
