Essential space for older Nothing Phones?

Mostly not it’s older devices and those are new feature specifically designed for more intrigated hardware and software so. Imo probably not gonna be in older devices.

I still guess essential search maybe a option but other than that nah.

Bro just to clarify — Nothing Phone (2a Plus) has the Dimensity 7350 Pro and Other Phones like 2a and phone 2 , which is more powerful than the 7300 in the CMF Phone 2 Pro.

So saying “our processor can’t handle AI features” doesn’t really make sense here.

If the CMF phone can handle Essential Space and other features, our phones should have no problem doing the same — unless it’s just a way to keep things exclusive to new models.

Just hoping for some honest clarification from the team, instead of blaming hardware that’s clearly capable.

The team is just not interested in giving us the features maybe due to some marketing strategies I think.

I remain genuinely impressed with my Nothing Phone 2, which I believe is among the most beautifully designed smartphones to date. From a hardware perspective, it is fully capable of handling current demands, yet it is evident that manufacturers often feel the need to stimulate sales of newer models by intentionally sidelining older devices.
I find this approach disappointing and fundamentally unfair, but at the end of the day, it all comes down to revenue, doesn’t it?

The only actual feature missing is Essential Space which is reserved to devices with the Essential Key.

All other features are / will be available (Presets in Camera was announced to be coming later)

RapidZapper Bro I am talking about the AI features until now only AI features we saw are coming to phones with Essential Key, not the regular phones that is the concern. Normal AI features currently exists only phones with Essential Key like seriously?

Pranshu actually just out of curiosity I have a nothing phone 2a and in the past couple days essential search showed up as a feature although it didn’t tell me straight forward I just stumbled across it it is on the device now but that is essential search not essential space

All the discussions and points put them aside and make sure to give essential space update to nothing older devices , If nothing is not going to provide this update this will be a very bad Idea from nothing if we are not getting these types of features then what is different in nothing phones from others Android Devices if nothing want’s to stand different and a level upper form other Android devices then this is must to give this feature via update and we all know if nothing wants it can be provided but I think after a bit of success the nothing is now making customers fool I know we know even nothing knows that the feature can be provided easily via update but they are not providing , I getting very disappointed from nothing because I think this is not fair , Nothing need to think of this and make an official announcement for the same.

Otherwise nothing users will be disappointed and this will be a great loss for nothing in future, so it is duty of nothing company to make there customers happy and satisfied. That if we have purchased the nothing company device then it may have something different from others Android devices not only the look but in features also. Nothing please think and push update for the essential Space.

Honey The challenge is, unless you yourself have a good understanding of the architecture that makes Essential Space work, you’re not going to be a good judge of whether it’s possible to bring it to older devices.

Software development is complex - it’s never as simple as it seems.

Smii Bro if we have invested and purchased nothing phone we want something different which makes it different from other companies Android devices.

I have purchased it because I need something different something more special otherwise we have had many Far better options than this nothing phone whose performance and specifications and all other things are far better than this nothing phone.

If company wanna grow and make it stand different from others , company has to face challenges and we have invested in it for the difference that nothing brings , Not to listen such stupid excuses , they might be facing challenges, they need to overcome. if they are afraid of challenges then shut this and go there where challanges are not.

I think you’re saying you want something different and more special than other phone manufacturers, and that’s why they need to bring Essential Space to older devices?

I would always argue that you should choose your technology on the features it has now rather than on anything promised. You’ve got an earlier phone, I gather, and hopefully you’ve had a lovely time with it up until now. It’s not always possible to bring new features to older hardware, so if you’re not happy with your current device, maybe it’s time to upgrade? Or, if you don’t want to upgrade, maybe make peace with the feature-set as it is.
