I am a recent convert to Nothing Phones and am really enjoying the device and a set of CMF pro buds 2. When I first received the phone it was running an older version of the OS. I was able to connect to my car radio (Android Auto) as well as my wife’s car (normal BT - Toyota RAV4). When connecting to my Android Auto (after market unit) all went well and I could see Spotify, WA and Gmaps no problem.
Following the upgrade to OS3 I have run into some curious issues.
- In my wife’s car, I can connect to the Car and can see the name of the song I am playing on Spotify (on the cars head unit) but the audio is routed through the phone not the car speakers. Curiously I can still use the hands free functionality
- In my own car, I can connect to the head unit and I can play music through my speakers but Android Auto does not work and I have to navigate Spotify with my phone (not ideal)
Both of the issues mentioned above all started directly after the update to Nothing OS V3.0
I have seen other posts on this forum regarding BT issues and note the need to toggle Media audio in the device details. I will give that a go next time I am in the car. For now just hoping for some assistance from the community.
