pdjt Yes, in fact they have implemented a minor degree of customization options, however not what people have asked for:
You can now disable the Essential Key if the display is off and you can also enable having it to press once before it actually starts doing anything.
Remapping the Essential Key however still isn’t possible out of the box, there is a community app which, as far as I know, allows some further customization, but you can just swap the power button function with it.
