A_Fahmy Terminal app appears in settings search in developer options, can’t seem to find it, how to enable it on phone? okay, that needs AVF / virt support, can that be somehow integrated into next kernel update as maybe the device supports it?
A_Fahmy @Daniel please if someone from your team can help with this and enable it for us? we really need this app s alternative Termux is very limited at the moment. Thanks in advance.
kohese It’s supposedly hidden by nothing, because when u try to search in settings, it does appear, as soon as u click on it, it just shows dev options
someoneodd Even if NP 3a’s and NP 3’s CPUs supprot virtualization, Nothing for some reason disabled it. Strange move from Nothing, tested Linux Terminal on old Pixel 6 and it worked out of the box on first beta of Android 16.
JeanMar Yes, it would be nice to enable this functionality in a future update. I own a pixel 8a and it’s perfectly working.
MarcelAlexandru Would that even work on any snapdragon devices? Afaik the chipset had some big issues when it comes to virtualization, especially on the kernel side
