Nothing Ear (a) case not closing anymore

Ich habe gerade den Fall für meine Ohrhörer aus meiner Tasche gezogen, um festzustellen, dass der Fall nicht mehr zu schließen scheint. Es entspringt wieder und ich kann nicht herausfinden, warum oder wie ich, was auch immer passiert ist, rückgängig machen. Hat noch jemand das erlebt? I just pulled the case for my earbuds out of my pocket, to find the case doesn’t seem to close anymore. It springs back up and I can’t seem to figure out why or how to undo whatever happened. Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve only had my Nothing Ear (a)s for about 2 weeks.

Terrible quality. Noting’s product quality engineer did nothing.

FrancescPalmeroComa yeah I managed to fix mine after my dog got a hold of it you gotta squish the metal latch at the back and it should stop springing back up I just used my teeth but I’m sure you could find a way too do it that’s less like a cave man hope this helps

Had the same issue, for me it was the the plastic lid connection to the metal latch in the back. You can basically just pull out that plastic lid connection from the metal latch and insert it back in. The plastic part that you put into the metal latch was bent, which is why when the lid was open it wasnt in a 90 degree angle position and when it was closed it didnt fully close.

I could fix it by opening the lid, holding the metal latch at its position with one finger and pushing the lid back into a 90 degree angle. Then it closed properly again

Same here. It got bent somehow and wouldn’t shut so they kept connecting all the time.

To fix it I pulled the lid back and forth until both halves met over the magnetic on/off sensor then put a heavy book on top when I wasn’t using them and it eventually went back to normal.

You’ve basically got to bend the metal hinge inwards again so that the case will close.

The easiest way is to take the plastic top out of the hinge, bend it inwards and then slot the top back in to see if it closes.

This got mine most of the way but there was still off by a fraction so they kept turning on in the case.

So to squish it, I personally put a heavy book on top and left it for a while, but ultimately you’ve just got to apply some pressure.

The plastic top snapped off the hinge entirely not long after that, so I had to glue it back on but even then the slightest bend snaps it off again. So be very careful as it’s very weak and definitely a design flaw.
