I have a suggestion, might be good for less dev-like people, that still want to make something with the glyphs.
A broadcast receiver in the app that waits for a broadcast (E.g. From an app like, Tasker, automate) with parameters that say which glyph zone should be activated and for how long, or what saved ringtone effect should play.
This might be hard to Implement though
