This is actually a great work and it’s so nice to see all welcome the new ideas around the Nothing OS 4. Although, I personally feel some are unnecessary and it is already available in the latest Nothing OS builds which can be enhanced a bit, in the upcoming Nothing OS 4.0
- Focus space is what we call here as Essential Space with the phones that came with the Essential Space. So basically it groups by creating folders based on the captured content and does the foundation. It just needs some visual enhancements like you showed in Focus space. Probably, they’ll implement soon to track them as groups that the user selects.
- Auto lock in feature is again a derived version of Essential Space. As I mentioned above, it does exist but this might be a good addition to their list, if not included.
- Focus mode already exists and so as DnD for several Android versions. Turning on DnD already does most of the job, muting media volume, and other distractions. Probably, slight tweaks could be done to the enhanced DnD where you flip the phone to turn dnd and glyph timer turns on as you wished.
- Notification group is the most confusing feature. The notifications are already grouped by Android default with silent and non silent notifications. This addition only adds extra complexity from the user perspective as one has to find the apps from the grouping. Sometimes, an important message could be sent either from the work or from the home. Now in order to give an attention to the user, it has to be shown as an alert so that user grabs the attention which compromises the sake of this feature. Keeping the notifications grouped with default already does the job. Already, you can set priorities to them which is again available for half a decade. Work notifications are already grabbing attention with the work icon.
- Lockscreen widgets are the essential widgets and I think it shouldn’t get mixed up with the widget space. This becomes another home screen and it is as same as using your home screen with just not unlocking it. This is actually spoiling the lock screen essence.
