I might have found a workaround:
1. Install the apps ‘Shizuku’ (app for using adb without a PC) and ‘Hail’ (freeze / disable other apps), both from it’s Github repositories
2. Setup ‘Shizuku’ using wireless ADB, the app will guide you through how to do this. Make sure that it has been started after setup.
3. Open ‘Hail’.
4. Go to ‘Apps’ and search for ‘System Services’.
5. Select ‘System Services | com.nothing.proxy’.
6. Go to ‘Home’ and press on the freeze button in the below-right section of the screen.
7. Make sure you use the method ‘Shizuku - Disable’ when asked.
8. It will ask to let the app use Shizuku. Accept this to to continue.
9. The app will say something that the app has been frozen or disabled.
10. Restart the phone and try using Spotify again.
The ‘System Services’ app is related to battery saving according to Universal Android Debloater Next Generation, which makes sense as the issue is only occurring when the phone is in standby.
Since I’ve used this workaround, I’ve yet to experience DAC outfall on Spotify and other media players. The problem might return, so more testing is needed.
