I genuinely think Nothing should take inspiration from iOS and implement a lock screen media player with full-screen album art (or animated visuals) — but in their own unique “Nothing” style.
Since Nothing has already adopted certain elements like the app drawer, bringing a more immersive and user-friendly media player to the lock screen shouldn’t be a stretch. Positioning it at the bottom — similar to iOS — would massively improve one-handed usability, something the Nothing team themselves highlighted in one of their YouTube videos.
Honestly, the current media player on
the Nothing lock screen just doesn’t compare visually or functionally to the one on iOS. This improvement would seriously elevate the user experience and aesthetic appeal.
