Hey everyone! I’ve been using the Nothing Phone (3a) for about a month now, and while I’m loving the overall design and experience, I’ve noticed a few consistent bugs that I hope can be addressed in upcoming updates. Sharing here in case others are facing the same .
Issues Observed:
1. Random Green Flash When Unlocking:
Occasionally, when unlocking via the fingerprint scanner, I get a brief green screen flash. It vanishes in a split second, and doesn’t happen every time — but I do see it at least once daily.
2. Green Line on Reboot & Screen Mirroring:
Whenever I restart the phone, there’s a thin green line visible across the top of the screen just before the device boots up.
Interestingly, this same green line appears only on the mirrored screen (e.g., during Flutter development with USB debugging) — it’s not visible on the actual phone screen during regular use.
3. Inconsistent Fingerprint Sensor Behavior:
The fingerprint scanner doesn’t always respond when the phone is idle. I often need to tap the power button first and then use the fingerprint reader. A bit annoying when I expect it to wake + unlock in one go.
I’m hoping this feedback helps squash some bugs in future patches. Would love to hear if these are known issues or if there’s anything else.
