I’m not here to ask for fixes or talk about existing products, I just wanted to ask why, where or if maybe we could get something like this in the future.
I love the Nothing Ears and The Airpods Pro 2s, the biggest issue with all of these being the fact that battery will eventually die and the product will die with it, meanwhile wired products have a much longer life, I always wondered why someone like Apple which already has good wired earbuds, can’t make a version of them that would support stuff like the Pro 2 shape, noise cancellation and Noise transparency settings, along with other features like Spatial Audio and head tracking gestures.
Obviously Apple is very happy to sell a product that will die in due time as it will generate more sales or cause people to spend money on repairs and replacements, I do wonder if Nothing would be willing to make a a product like this instead, Their Ear series can already compete with Apple’s Airpods in many aspects, I wonder if they would be willing to make the ultimate feature packed IEM’s or Earbuds.
I’d happily spend $250-$300 for a really good pair of earbuds that offered this quality and features but removed the wireless aspect.
Are we limited by the amount of power that the earbuds would need to have these features? even having USB-C buds would not be a dealbreaker.
