Personally, coming from the 2a which I love, I also saw no point launching the Community and 2a Plus iterations, IMHO waste of time and valuable development/manufacturing finances. (I also bought my wife the 2a) Currently I own the 3a Pro and whilst the camera bump was personally an obstacle at first, I have learned to live with it. My point is that this is where Nothing excel, they proved that they can design and deliver interesting and innovative designs which please and perform for a sensible budget. The glyphs whilst divisive, are part of what made the difference, along with the transparent casing and simplicity in its software. I think that whilst the design of the NP3 has its merits, its look and spec broke away from the the very ethos of what created market recognition and respect. Nothing IMHO should remove themselves from Flagship device top spot chasing, as they are simply not in a position to acquire parts/components competitively alongside the likes of Apple/Samsung/Google. Let these manufacturers fight among themselves for the £1000+ device market top spot. This year Nothing’s real pinnacle was the launch of the 3A/3A Pro (not just because I own one) but because these devices represented for me the natural progression and essentially what I came to expect from Nothing (apart from perhaps some improvements which we know Nothing will eventually address via updates) If Nothing were to focus on mid range market and budget phones/accessories over the next 5years, they should then be in a stronger position to decide which direction the company should take at that point. Stay with Glyphs, essential space and make your presence known even more by building an even stronger community led mobile device manufacturer, and don’t waste time chasing pointless trophies/merits in a limited diminishing market section, which to date the NP3 has only been met with confusion and largely flat reviews. (just my opinion)
