The Glyph Matrix on Phone 3 seems impractical to me. Why would someone rely on the rear 1-inch dot matrix screen instead of the front 6.8-inch AMOLED display? The rear button and other features feel like gimmicks without practical applications. In my opinion, Phone 3 is overpriced and overly hyped.

While premium brands like iPhone and Samsung charge high prices (giving the user flagship feature and experience), Nothing should focus on enhancing its software experience and features. Although its unique cosmetic design sets it apart, the software has untapped potential. I urge Nothing to reconsider its strategy.

I think it’s kinda useful but also very gimicki. Glyphs wasn’t that gimicki in my opinion.

I’d argue because it’s cool.

I can see spin the bottle being useful at the pub for example or with a bunch of children/students.

It’s probably neither. My take is its a tamer take on the glyph lights to grab a bigger market share because not everyone wants to look like a NPC from Cyberpunk (I sure do) so I think it’s a smart business decision even though it might not been that we are who they are targeting. Which is also great 😃

Having display like galaxy flip is way better than having glyph matrix that’s i think but some people may like it for the price and might be for spinning the bottle or rock paper scissors or rolling a dice or tossing a coin if they add in future

In my opinion Glyph Matrix is just a useless gimmick.
all of those toys you play on Glyph Matrix can be played on the main screen. They will be more visible. Let’s think about, for instance, the leveller. Is it far better to use on the main screen or on a small screen of 489 mini leds ?

I believe who design the Glyph Matrix missed the point of the reason why I would flip my phone on the back: i dont want to get distracted. And the Glyph Matrix with all of those toys is not helping here.

It has potential to be useful - for me if it could be linked to Shazam and like the PIxel devices be set to always listening and display whatever song is playing in a given situation. Im sure people could come up with unique ways of using it. Personally i like the way it looks. Reminds of OP-1/OP-XY screens

As a nothing 3a pro user. I just don’t understand why nothing put a second display at the cost of the glyph interface. Wasn’t that the thing that nothing was recognized, apart from the translucent desgin?

I have always been a supporter of what Carl is doing, from my Oneplus to now Nothing Phone 1 and recently upgraded to Phone 3. The Glyph Matrix is a lil buggy, the need to just try hitting and guessing which of the corners to hit button is chore, and the need to put some force onto it. I have read most the reddits, the community chats and even Facebook groups without a solid answer, I do hope the team can solve thing with the next update.
