So from my perspective I wanted a phone with Bluetooth codecs Aptx Adaptive (I have 3 head sets supporting it) and 1+ gave that up so I’m with nothing. Next up was waterproof so IP68 yes please, thanks guys. After that I’m looking at dual SIM because I travel and even better, ESIm for adaptability. I also wanted great battery ( don’t we all), and fast charging (I’m used to warp charge from 1+) decent cameras, good screen and decent price. I’m based in England so price seems reasonable to me Vs Pixel, Samsung, etc.
To me the Glyph matrix and Essential space are all a bonus along with great build quality, unique look, and a community that wants to care, rather than another phone a new processor and minimal upgrades year on year(Samsung). Let’s be realistic unless you hack(update from community )your phone you’re going to replace your phone before the seven years or update cycle kicks in anyway.
So I think Nothing have a great balance at the moment of price and quantity, and longevity, I will see how that goes with use, but to the haters out there, this community is moving on without you.
