I’m using the Nothing Phone (1) EU variant while living in Bangladesh. I’ve encountered an issue where 5GHz WiFi networks using channels 36–64 (UNII-1 and UNII-2A bands) do not show up in the available WiFi list — **unless I enable Airplane Mode**.
This clearly suggests that the phone is limiting the WiFi channels based on regional settings (probably through cellular tower location or country code enforcement).
📌 Some important points:
- These channels (36–64) are legal and commonly used in Bangladesh.
- My router works fine on these channels, and other devices detect them normally.
- When I enable Airplane Mode, the WiFi SSID becomes visible and connectable.
- This severely limits WiFi performance when not using Airplane Mode.
