This month, I had the pleasure of visiting New York City and see it in full festive swing. Whilst it wasnât covered in a blanket of snow like in all the movies, it was a great trip, and I thought Iâd create a photoblog with some of the photos I shot #withNothing Phone (2)! đşđ¸
After a cancelled flight and lost luggage, I woke up in Williamsburg to gorgeous morning light. Not the ideal start to my holiday, but at least the lighting was on point.

After running around Brooklyn to buy the essentials (and a small Wholefoods haul), I ventured over to Hudson Yards and walked around before heading to the theatre to watch Hadestown, the musical. Everything was lit up for Christmas, and there were more fairy lights than my 2015 Tumblr inspired bedroom.

Because of the varied weather patterns, I spent a couple of rainy days hopping between bagel shops, cafĂŠs, and The Met. But, I had to see The Highline even if it was pouring it downâŚ

On my penultimate day, the sun came out, and I took my Phone (2) up to the 91st floor of One Vanderbilt for the SUMMIT experience. With huge open windows and sweeping views of the NYC skyline, mirrored walls and floors, reflective balloons bopping about the place and a shiny Yayoi Kusama installation, I took the opportunity to turn on my Glyph Torch on and join in with the theme.

The skyline turned from day to night, and even more colours joined in the light show. I captured each shade of the sky I could!

Last but not least, in between the theatre shows, shops, Hudson river-side walks and gigs, I tried lots of different coffee shops! My favourite was % Arabica - very smooth, a sweet blend, and warmed me up on a windy morning.

Iâll be heading to a few fun places next year, and will be shooting #withNothing for sure. Even during my long days navigating from place to place in NYC and constantly opening the camera app, my Phone (2) stayed alive all day! Do you have any exciting travel plans for 2024?
