Good morning
I guess you don’t understand me well since I’m Spanish and I use an English translator.
1- The double tap is more convenient because when you take the phone out of your pocket or put it away, the screen would NEVER turn on by mistake. Now, with just one tap, it turns on occasionally or simply when you pick it up.
Although I have “always on display” enabled, I can only see that I have a WhatsApp notification, but NOT from who it is.
2- I don’t like the option to pick up the phone and have the screen turn on automatically because whenever I pick up the phone, I don’t want the screen to turn on. If I’m putting it in my pocket, it doesn’t make sense.
I have my phone on a table, and when I pick it up, I often touch the screen and it turns on by mistake. I don’t always pick it up from the sides like you say, and the same goes for when you take it out of your pocket. Do you pick it up from the sides? I don’t think so. You must touch the screen.
3- It makes perfect sense. Sometimes I receive several notifications while I’m working, and from the lock screen, I quickly check who they’re from in case any are important, but I don’t go into them until later when I can review them properly.
As for the phone’s backlight, I’ve never used them. It doesn’t make sense to put them behind the phone and have to turn it upside down and keep turning it over (a notification LED on the front like old phones would be a thousand times better; that was the best).
I don’t think it would be hard to add the two features I’m talking about. It’s so logical, and the rest of the phones have it. This brand has tried to differentiate itself by worsening the user experience.
