Hey folks! I’ve been enjoying my Phone 3, and one of the reasons I got it was to play around with the GlyphMatrix and build a couple of Toys for it.
I’ve been doing some development after work, and wanted to share what I’ve gotten so far. Will add more as ideas come to me (if they do), more of a playground than a proper app at the moment. Also has some code to make drawing to the screen a bit easier.
At the moment, there’s 3 toys I’ve made up that are working:
Angle Finder - Use the phone (placed on its edge) to find the angle of a tilted surface
Now Playing - Show the currently playing song + artist, which scroll across the screen (requires Notification Listener permission)
REST API - Show information pulled from a REST API Endpoint. The fields can be selected in the main app, and cycled through using the Glyph Button
Only the source code is available at the moment, need to get my Google Developer account set up again. But feel free to give it a try or peruse the code 🙂
