Who I am
Hello there! This is Alek from the sunny south of Italy ☀️.
I’m a product manager for a European company. I previously worked at Apple for several years and am currently in a similar environment. After 15 years with the iPhone, I decided it was time for a change. So, I chose to buy a Nothing Phone 3, and I must admit… it’s absolutely fantastic! It’s unique, the Nothing OS is brilliantly designed, smooth, and honestly, I’m finally excited again to be part of a community that is striving to create something new and distinctive. I truly love the mood and style of Nothing as a company, which is why I also purchased the new CMF Watch Pro 3. But that’s not the main point of my post.

NOTHING TO DO
To explore the possibilities of the Matrix, I decided to create a simple to-do app that interacts with the Matrix LED.
The app is called “Nothing to Do,” and it serves as a straightforward to-do list that interacts with a matrix LED display. Users can view the number of tasks, and by shaking their phone, they can scroll through the details of each task. The core concept is that when you add a new task, you can record your voice and associate an image that will be displayed in the glypho (you can choose an emoji, upload your own photo, or ask the AI to create a glypho for you).. Thus, when you shake the device and retrieve a task, you will not only hear the audio message but also see the title of the task displayed on the screen scrolling from left to right (watch the last video).
The AI is also integrated with OpenAI’s Whisper model. By holding down the magic button on the back of the phone, you can directly record your voice, which will process the instruction and create a task for you, associating it with an image.

As soon as I refine a few details and perhaps come up with some additional ideas, I will publish the app on the Play Store.
