To be honest, I bought Phone (2a) plus knowing full well that it’s camera system was pretty average compared to most of the other options available at that time, even though camera was a top priority for me.
I had a feeling that the Nothing team would be giving us regular updates and polishing the camera to make it a lot more capable.
Oh, and that weird issue with the display is still there. It’s really annoying, especially when I’m trying to capture a photo or edit it. Because of the bad tinting and contrast, even if it’s a nice photo, it just looks bad on screen.
It’s been almost a year now. I saw the display/tinting issue being mentioned once (just once), and a note that they’re working on fixing it. As for camera improvements, I don’t think I’ve heard anything till now.
I know they’re busy with Phone 3 and all the other things going on. But I feel a little sad because I bought this phone hoping that they were going to fix things up soon, and now I’m stuck with a faulty phone.
All of us 2a and 2a Plus users might have to live with these defects for the whole 5-6 years we’ll be using this phone, so… maybe we are a forgotten chapter.
