Hi all, I am somewhat enjoying my new Nothing Headphone (1), I like the retro-look design and they’re relatively comfortable on my head.
I wanted to share one minor issue/point of confusion…
Firstly, I am happy that the Nothing Headphone (1) offer a mini jack adapter. When using these headphones for editing or watching content on my laptop, I prefer no latency over the standard Bluetooth latency. I am an audio producer and DJ, and hence use many different headphones for a variety of cases. I use a pair of Sennheiser HD 25-II and a pair of Pioneer HDJ-X10 for DJing and a pair of Beyerdynamic 700 Pro X headphones for studio work, audio editing and production. With all of these headphones, the audio cabling plugs into the left ear cup, not the right. Beyond the headphones I use personally, I recognise this is an industry standard with good reason. I understand that the Nothing Headphone (1) is not marketed as headphones for DJing, studio, broadcast, aviation, etc. However, as someone who uses headphones for multiple reasons, it’s just annoying to compromise my instincts and have the cable hang over my right shoulder instead of my left.
May I ask, was there a conscious reason to have the wire plug into the right as opposed to the left?
