SleepingAtSea Just got my Headphone (1) today, but I agree with what you said here. Headphone volume at max is too low and bass is lacking. I don’t prefer a ton of bass, so it’s good for me, but it would be nice to have the option.

yeah this new update kinda sucks imo dosent fix anything that was wrong with the original eq and makes more issues than fixes

Would also like an option to roll back, the bass seems less as does the overall volume and they were already on the quiet side to begin with

Unfortunately, the sound quality and volume has greatly detoriated. Please come back to the previous sound tuning with a fix ASAP🙏🏻 At this stage, the sound feels like it came out from a 100$ headphone. That’s really a bummer for me cause i realy love those headphones 🥺

The new update for the headphones 1 has made the bass almost non-existent and has made the transparency mode really compressed and to be honest just uncomfortable. They had it perfect the first time why did the role out this update, it’s really annoying as it is literally a downgrade and these headphones aren’t cheap. I just need to check if I’m going crazy or if anyone els has the same problem. I mean the nothing ears have better bass and transparency that the headphones 1 now.

willHA I completely agree dude. Especially on how much these cost, it baffles me how much of a downgrade a firmware update can cause.

I’m going to try do something to influence than to change it back or at least give us the option to revert back, the biggest reason for the update was some units has stability issues at higher volumes with more bass, but that leaves the units without this issue with a big downgrade.

SleepingAtSea I’m a new user, so I didn’t experience the previous firmware, but I can confirm that the volume is definitely an issue. It’s a shame to read that the sound quality also took a hit with the update. Other than that, I really love the headphones.

I had the exact same question you did: Is it possible to roll back to the prior firmware? I really hope someone can help us or that the company releases a fix.

Turb0 I’ve been fine with all the other changes to the Headphone (1) but I did run into this problem with the 3.5mm connection. I can get a good volume level out of it, but only in the last four steps of volume on my iFi Go Link. It would be great to get that analog input volume level synced up with the digital volume level (which is plenty loud for me).

I’m guessing the reason the 3.5mm input can’t be adjusted with the volume roller or manipulated with the EQ is a hardware thing more than a software thing?

btw I got the new 1.0.1.74, transparency mode is way better, and max volume got increased as well (bt)

there is a new update. 1.0.1.74 optimised volume balance and refind transparancy mode.

i have the update on 1 of the 2 headphones i have. the one with the problems its not showing up. and the other one (just arrived) is giving me the update.

im not updating with the new 1 because im testing the difference! if i know more i will post that here! but i have 2 say the new one had the same speaker creaking (yes also without anc) as my first 1. if the update is not on par with the new 1 im sending it back it is my 4th one in 2 weeks. i do not think the quality is good.

New update has the volume back to where it was (still could do with being louder!!!) and transparancy mode seems alot better. Still noticeable drop in bass with ANC on.
