I honestly don’t understand what the “Game Mode” in Nothing OS is supposed to do, because on my CMF Phone 2 Pro it does absolutely nothing.
While playing Call of Duty: Mobile, the experience is extremely inconsistent and frustrating. Sometimes the game runs fine for a few minutes, but suddenly the lag starts and everything falls apart.
Major issues I’m facing:
• Shots not registering properly
• Very noticeable touch / button input delay
• Sudden lag spikes during matches
• Gameplay becoming unstable after a short session
In a competitive shooter like CODM, this completely ruins the experience. When I press fire or aim, the response is delayed and the shots often don’t connect. It feels like the phone is struggling even though the hardware should be capable of running the game smoothly.
What’s worse is that the Nothing OS “Game Mode” doesn’t actually boost anything. There’s no real performance improvement, no proper optimization, and it feels more like a cosmetic feature than a functional one.
I’ve already tried:
• Native Nothing Game Mode
• Third-party boosters (HeyTap Game Mode, Game Booster 4x)
• Closing background apps
Nothing solved the problem.
If the CMF Phone 2 Pro is marketed as a capable device, then gaming optimization should not be this poor. Right now the Game Mode feels unfinished and ineffective.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
And can the Nothing team actually address this with proper optimization updates?
