Hello Community, My self Debayan, student and photographer, from India.
I have been using Nothing phone(3) as my personal daily driver for the past few months, testing it across my photo walks, editing sessions and even some long BGMI runs. After using previous models like Phone 3(a) and CMF Phone 2 Pro. I was curious to see how Nothing’s most premium flagship phone feels in real life. Let’s see.
Unboxing Video here
For this review I got nothing’s review unit box which included the Nothing Phone (3) and the CMF 100W GaN charger. Inside the Phone 3’s box, you’ll find the Phone itself, a clear case, a iconic transparent sim ejector tool and the transparent type c to c cable which I actually missed on the Phone 3(a) series. Simple, minimal, and very Nothing.

The Phone 3 feels noticeable heavier than the Phone 3(a) series and the CMF Phone 2 Pro. But yeah, people definitely noticed it, some random strangers praised it, saying “Oh, that’s the new Nothing”. While kids even joked that I was using a broken phone. But personally I think the new Glyph Matrix is letting beautiful than the previous Glyph Light. That felt unique and minimal. The matrix looks cool but not as special as that

Outdoor brightness is decent for my photography walks, and colours are Okay for reviewing and editing.I didn’t noticed a huge difference while comparing it with CMF Phone 2 Pro or the Nothing Phone 3(a). Movies and games felt smooth, though I did faced occasional stacking.

Now the most important part for me, the cameras. Honestly for a 80K inr phone, the cameras don’t live up to the tag. It felt very closed to the Phone 3(a) Pro. Daylight photos are good, HDR and the front camera is also fine. The tele-macro is actually the most impressive part. Those shots came out very nice. Potraits are also great. But low night performance is not up to the mark and moving shots are really bad. Here are some camera samples I captured with the device

Performance is smooth in daily tasks, but gaming is where issue starts, the phone heats up quickly and sometime lags. For this price, that’s disappointing. Battery life is average but nothing extraordinary

Nothing OS is the saving grace here…clean, smooth, minimal. Glyph Matrix features like camera count down and timers are fun.

So what do I feel overall? At the launch price of 80K, I don’t think this phone made sense. The cameras and performance don’t match that range. But now the price has dropped to arround 60-65K, it feels more balanced. Still it’s more of a refinement over the Nothing 3(a) Pro rather than a big leap. So if you’re looking for the best phone go for the Phone 3(a) Pro
