You appear to misunderstand. Third-party processing is not required to transcribe usersā voices notes ā itās confirmed in the appās privacy policy that all the transcribing is done on-device using the speech-to-text technology that is baked into Nothing OS.
It means, if a user simply wants to transcribe a voice note ā a note that might contain identifiable information, is business sensitive, or private ā it is not necessary for that transcription to be shared online with a third-party for any further processing.
If people want to opt-in to having their data shared so they can use āAIā services such as screenshot summaries and calendar management, thatās fine, but users who wish to ā or must ā keep a degree of privacy should be able to press and hold the Essential Key and have their voice messages transcribed and saved without internet access; rather without being shared with unnamed third-parties.
