Hi,

I have a Nothing Phone 2 that has poor video broadcast quality in Whatsapp, Signal, and Meet. The phone is updated with the August 2025 security patch and all Google Play updates are complete. I have tested on 300/100 wifi and 5G networks. There is another user on the same networks with an old Galaxy S8 that has no video problems.

All incoming video is perfect.

Does anyone else experience a serious battery drain issue with this update? I’ve updated my phone 2 to this version, and the battery drains extremely fast. The phone is also very hot, and doesn’t cool down. Disabled Bluetooth, NFC and GPS, but unfortunately no luck. Does anyone know a solution to this?

Ciao a tutti ho installato la nuova versione OS 3.2 Build Pong-v3.2-250828-1921 e ho riscontrato il problema che la SIM si attacca e si stacca, perdendo ovviamente la possibilità di telefonare. Ho provato la stessa SIM su un altro telefono e funziona correttamente. Ho inserito un’altra SIM sempre sul NOTHING e ha lo stesso problema.

L’aggiornamento ha portato una regressione sul riconoscimento della scheda…. Mi AIUTATE. Grazie in anticipo

MassimilianoUrioni Hi, I also have the Nothing Phone 2 with the latest update, and I use one SIM and an external eSIM (9esim), and everything works perfectly. I don’t think it’s an OS update issue, but rather a problem with your phone.

MassimilianoUrioni I have this exact same issue, performed the update yesterday and I have a single SIM card. I never had this issue before and my area has very stable connections. Mobile network keeps switching from finding my provider (and having a stable connection for approximately 5-7 seconds), then being without network service for again approximately 5-7 seconds. Of course I rebooted the phone (Nothing Phone 2), issue persists. I also used “Reset Mobile Network Settings” under Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Mobile Network Settings, issue still persists. Simultaneously as long as SIM is turned on, the phone overheats and drains battery very fast. Only solution is to turn SIM off. My version says “Pong-V3.2-250828-1921-EEA”. I don’t know what the “-EEA” at the end is about…

I am also experiencing the exact same issue.
I tried everything i could think of too fix the issue even factory reset but no luck. I am seriously considing buying a new phone because i am unable to call or text or receive them.

I am also 99% certain the problem is software related because i tested my SIM card in another phone and that worked.

If you don’t live in Europe, it’s likely that the SIM issue is caused by the firmware.

I live in the EU (Netherlands) so then I assume -EEA must be the intended version. However the issues could still be related to this specific release if the other users affected by it are also European?

P.S. I never paid attention to firmware updates before so I can only assume previous ones were also ending in “-EEA”.

mythras Yes, it’s EEA for Netherlands and that’s perfectly fine. I was about to suggest some settings to you but one more user is facing this problem and he is also from Netherlands. So this might be an issue with this update if you have never faced this in the past and already tried basic settings. You can also contact your network provider (if it’s Odidio) once just to rule out any other possibilities.
