I recently received my Nothing Phone 3a and I’m really happy with it! I’m experiencing an issue with WhatsApp notifications, and I’m wondering if others have encountered this too.
The phone’s “Silent notifications” setting seems to automatically categorize certain WhatsApp chats and groups as silent, meaning I don’t receive notifications for them. This selection appears to be random - some groups/chats notify me normally, while others don’t.
I’ve tried editing the notification settings for individual chats, but this doesn’t seem to be working.
I’ve also tried to change the notification setting (“Silent notifications”) to use the default, but this gets reset after a certain time.

Is this a known issue? How can I resolve this? Currently, sometimes I overlook some messages from friends/family that I would rather be notified of.
