Kawar oh well.
- I’m not using messages at all, just to check a few notifications. It’s alright to me they’re from Google.
- I’m not using contacts on its full since they all are in Dialer. Somehow I’d wish there was a single app for Dialer and contacts just because it really duplicates each other.
- I’ve installed Voidcaller from community and feel great using it, it’s a cool alternative to Google Dialer and so in style of Nothing OS.
- I’m okay with Google files. I don’t know what extra app do I need to just access my files. For real. And community members already did the alternative for you.
I"Samsung can do it" doesn’t means Nothing should do that. I was 5 years on Galaxy smartphones. And just after 3 months of using Nothing I clearly see that I’m not gonna switch to Samsung again! There’s no benefit in that phone that’s just full of apps I won’t ever use!
Of course everyone thinks that more customisation — more freedom. But only at Nothing I felt the freedom and lightness. I thought that my phone is MY phone, I feel it, I feel that storage, I understand it. Having the same 256gb on Z Flip5 and Phone (3a) hits very different. And I’m happy to experience that free wind experience with Nothing.
But no one stops you from buying a phone you like.
I’ve saw a comment on X saying that the concept of Nothing is literally “leave your phone and touch the grass”. So this definitely means lighter software without tones of apps, minimalistic look. This is what makes Nothing unique and stand out.
o0SGR0o what a different experience. I used Samsung as primary devices for 5 years but now I’m not gonna switch back at least for a few years. Because realising that the same amount of storage on both Nothing and Galaxy hits very different, of course I’ll go for Nothing because I can feel that I have all the storage in my hands, not just 60% of it.
Yeah, Galaxy AI is a great feature and I also used it many times. But besides it I’m using like the same stuff on Nothing as I did on Z Flip5. Well, I also started to use Essential Space. And, let’s say, it looks like a more practical feature for me that just photo editing and etc.
