Hello Nothing Team and Community,
I am writing to report a widespread and critical bug affecting the Nothing Phone (2a) after installing the most recent Nothing OS update.
The Issue:
After the latest update, the mobile data (4G/5G) functionality has completely or intermittently stopped working for many users, including me.
Details of the Problem:
Symptom: The phone shows network bars but fails to connect to the internet (no data transfer).
Widespread Issue: This is not an isolated problem; numerous users on Reddit and other forums are reporting the exact same issue following the update.
Temporary Fixes: Toggling Airplane Mode or restarting the phone works for a few minutes but the data fails again shortly after.
Troubleshooting Tried (All Failed):
Phone Restart / Reboot
SIM Card removed and re-inserted
APN (Access Point Names) reset and manual configuration
Network Settings Reset (Wi-Fi, Mobile, Bluetooth)
Preferred Network Type switched from 5G to 4G/LTE
Urgent Request:
Since this issue renders the phone incapable of its basic function (mobile communication), I request the Nothing team to immediately acknowledge this bug and prioritize a hotfix/minor update rollout within the next few days.
A phone without working mobile data is severely limiting, and we need an urgent solution.
