In letzter Zeit habe ich einen Trend in der Community festgestellt. Immer wenn jemand nach einer Funktion fragt, die Whixh bereits auf dem iPhone oder einem anderen Android (insbesondere iPhone) erhältlich ist, antworten einige Mitglieder einfach mit „Kaufen Sie ein iPhone“ oder geben Sie einen Kauflink ab. Jeder hat seine eigenen Prioritäten, Bedürfnisse und Vorlieben. Wenn Ihnen die Funktion nicht gefällt, ist das in Ordnung - ignorieren Sie einfach den Thread. Aber bitte reagieren Sie nicht auf diese Weise. Lassen Sie uns die Würde und den hilfreichen Geist der Gemeinschaft am Leben erhalten. Es ist eine bescheidene Anfrage.

Lately, I’ve noticed a trend in the community. Whenever someone asks about a feature whixh is already available on iPhone or another Android (especially iPhone), a few members just reply with “buy an iPhone” or drop a purchase link.

Everyone has their own priorities, needs, and preferences. If you don’t like the feature, that’s fine—just ignore the thread. But please don’t react in this way. Let’s keep the dignity and helpful spirit of the community alive.

It’s a humble request.

This is exactly what members do when replying “then buy an iphone” when this forum is flooded with posts from people who don’t even read previous exchanges, and will write two sentences like “please add liquid glass” without context or intellectual development. For no reason whatsoever, other than the fact that they think people will finally find them cool all of a sudden because there will be a “Dynamic island” on their phone. It’s just thrown out like that, again and again, like those talking dolls from the 80’s that only had 3 pre-recorded sentences. It’s quite boring and it doesn’t particularly help the community. There is no real intention behind it, the only desire is superficial and will never be fulfilled anyway.

What else do you expect to get as an answer when you ask/suggest to copy just for the sake of copying? Like those suggestions to add dynamic island, add liquid glass, add this and that… 🤷‍♂️

You can buy Xiaomi too, it’s a 1:1 copy of iOS:

On a serious note - People often desire everything that is introduced in the iPhone, even though those features may have been available for decades. Until the iPhone includes a particular feature, it doesn’t seem to be useful to anyone. And even those who may not necessarily need it, end up wanting it just because Apple has introduced it. This mindset appears rather peculiar, which is why responses like “just buy an iPhone” are common. As for priorities, if they are aligned with the features offered by the iPhone, then purchasing the iPhone seems to be the most logical choice, so one doesn’t need to keep asking for those features elsewhere.

I agree, If you are going to comment on someone’s post and participate in the discor, at least have some ammunition as to ‘why’ you want that feature and ‘why’ you feel it would benefit NothingOS and the community at large.

Here is how this works…

(I open with a statement / opinion) Why, in the first place, come to the Nothing forums and even ask / request / demand a feature like Apple’s “liquid glass” anyway? First off it is unsettling and it looks like garbage. You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig!

(I respond with a statement that supports what I perceive to be the facts) Nothing stands out from the other phone manufacturers by being mindful, practical, and precise about their design choices that go into their phones. If you want “liquid glass” so bad, I am sure in the coming weeks some dev will release a skin or custom launcher to provide this effect.

(I wrap up my argument clarifying my position) We choose Nothing to BE the statement, to BE different, to enjoy what it feels like to BE free of the mundane and stale phone world by literally holding a piece of art in your hands.

I have a Nothing Phone 3 because I like this OS so much. Because it’s different from an iPhone copy. It’s okay to want features that other manufacturers have, but please do it in a different way. I’ve had an iPhone for a long time, but I’m not at all impressed by this device or Liquid Glass. I’m looking forward to Nothing OS 4 and hopefully the Phone 4 next year.

Those comments add nothing to an argument. They think they are being funny or intelligent but they are the exact opposite of that. Just think of them as AI Bot message or something and ignore those cause we can’t beat sense into them.
