Amudhan_Sundararajan I don’t think scope storage will work for essential space. Earlier it might work with only screenshots to work with. But now essential space have evolved to record phone calls from Google dialler. Just think about it. How can essential space Will pull recordings from dialler app if it is restricted to scope storage. I think it is highly unlikely

Hey guys I want to make one thing clear to everybody here. There are people who love customisation and people who love minimalist approach and I respect both approaches. I don’t think the ideology of nothing is minimalism. If that is the case they might have given you a home screen something similar to Niagara. Nothing’s idea is unique monochromatic interface. Has a customisation lover I don’t want colourful UI elements floating around my nothing phone. And I don’t want endless customisation options. I choose nothing because I wanted your non Chinese brand that offers value for money with style. You guys accept transparent design in phone back but not in UI?!!! Blur background for notification shade and quick settings can be achieved without interrupting monochromatic theme. And features like double tap to sleep on lock screen will not bother minimalist fans. These are features something like the extra dark mode in nothing OS 4.0. AND NOBODY HERE IS TALKING ABOUT THE NOTHING RECORDER APP THEY REMOVED THE WHEEL WHICH WAS THE UNIQUE STYLE IN THAT APP. For instance I love to use the original nothing launcher but due to the icon grid size resizing restrictions I switch to Nova. Yes I am an accessibility user I want my icons as big as possible in my app draw. There are different types of people using a phone. I am very disappointed with nothing voice 4.0 where they nothing launcher remind unchanged not giving the option to resize the great icons size. Again it’s a basic functionality this will not disturb mini minimalist lovers or monochromatic lovers. By switching to Nova launcher I lost the ability to use nothing widgets which I definitely love. But this choice I had to make sacrificing widgets over usability of the phone it’s very hard choice which no one have to make

But idk by introducing double tap to sleep on lock screen, changing clock colour to black when bright wallpapers set, showing devices connected with hotspot is gonna change the minimalist design of nothing @Amudhan_Sundararajan

BenedictRafael this functionality was there in my old LG phone since Android 7.0. actually there was no setting specifically for this clock and status bar font change colours to white and black based on wallpaper. It was a natural thing for that us. Also LG had volume slider below the brightness slider in the notification pull down panel. such a convenience

BenedictRafael Tbh Black border around the white font will fix your issue, there is no need to include different colours for clock. We are still on 3.5. let’s wait for 4.0 beta and see if they added black border around the letters.

You should submit a feedback through feedback tool and check email once. You mentioned that you’ve submitted feedbacks earlier. But, you didn’t say anything about the response you got in return. Maybe you didn’t check their emails??

In future if you ever submit a feedbacks through feedback tool, you’ll get a follow-up mail from the device team and you should communicate with them through there.

It takes you less time to root the phone than to whine around the forums asking for features you can get immediately with rooting (1-2 minutes long process).

The company designs phones for people who understand its vision, not for those expecting Apple or OnePlus copies. From Phone (1) onward, Nothing has been clear about why their OS looks and feels the way it does. If you bought the phone without knowing the brand’s philosophy, that’s on you.

Now there are people complaining that Nothing OS 4.0 doesn’t have flashy UI changes or iOS/OxygenOS-style transparency effects, but tell me, has iOS really changed much in years? Yet everyone still copies it. Nothing is doing the opposite: keeping its own unique identity. If you’re that desperate for iOS/OxygenOS-style visuals, just get an iPhone or a Oneplus. Nothing isn’t chasing that direction anytime soon.
